FellowshipDesk takes privacy seriously and collects as little reader data as possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to delete it. The policy applies to the website fellowshipdesk.example and the FellowshipDesk Weekly newsletter.
What we collect from website readers. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, timestamp) for at most 90 days, used only for security and aggregate analytics. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics about which pages are popular and how readers reach the site. We do not set tracking cookies for our own purposes; any cookies set are by third-party advertising scripts (see below).
What we collect from newsletter subscribers. Email address, the date you subscribed, and an aggregate engagement signal (whether you typically open the newsletter). We do not collect your name, location, or any demographic information. Unsubscribing erases the email address from the active list within seven days; we retain a hashed record only to honour suppression requests across re-subscriptions.
Third-party advertising. The site displays advertising through third-party providers (e.g. Google AdSense). These providers may set cookies and use tracking pixels to serve personalised advertising. Their data practices are governed by their own privacy policies; we do not have access to the personal data they collect. Readers who wish to opt out of personalised advertising can do so via their browser settings or via the relevant provider's opt-out page.
Children. FellowshipDesk is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has subscribed to the newsletter, write to privacy@fellowshipdesk.example and we will erase the record.
Your rights. Readers based in jurisdictions with data-protection laws (including the EU's GDPR, the UK's Data Protection Act, and California's CCPA) may request a copy of their data, request correction of inaccurate data, or request deletion. Email privacy@fellowshipdesk.example with the subject line "Data request" and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy. We will post any material changes to this page and, where the change affects newsletter subscribers, will send a single notification email. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
