The FellowshipDesk Weekly

Every Sunday morning we send a single email — never more than one per week — that does three things: it lists every fellowship deadline falling within the following 60 days, it highlights five programs from the directory worth a closer look, and it links to one longer essay or interview from the FellowshipDesk editorial team or a guest contributor.

The newsletter is free and we never sell, share, or rent the subscriber list. To unsubscribe, click the link at the bottom of any issue — it is a one-click action and we honour it immediately.

Why a weekly cadence. Daily emails about fellowship deadlines train people to ignore them. A monthly digest is too coarse to be useful when most application windows are six to eight weeks long. The Sunday-morning Weekly is the rhythm we found works: enough lead time to plan an application, infrequent enough that subscribers actually read it.

Who writes the Weekly. The same editorial team that writes the directory. We do not contract out the newsletter to a marketing agency, we do not auto-generate the program highlights from a popularity score, and we do not run sponsored content inside the editorial section of the email. There is one paid placement at the bottom of each issue, clearly labelled, that we use to keep the lights on.

The Weekly archive. Past issues are available on request from editors@fellowshipdesk.example — we have not yet built a public archive into the site, but the editorial team is happy to send specific back issues to subscribers and prospective subscribers.

A note for application coaches and advisors. If you are a university fellowship advisor or a paid coach and you would like to forward the Weekly to your advisees, please do — that is exactly the use we built it for. We do not require permission and we do not consider forwarding to be a violation of any policy. We do ask that you not relabel, reformat, or remove the unsubscribe link.
